The Otunba Lana Akintan Human Rights Foundation (OLAKHURF) was founded by the kind hearted nonagenarian, Otunba Ephraim Lana Akintan, fondly called Baba Lana.

Otunba Akintan rose from a humble background to stardom through clear vision that is woven with hard work, resilience and cheer industry. From relatively young age, he set for himself, a tall goal to succeed, and worked at his wits end, defying all odds and breaking all barriers. In the process, he built a thriving business empire that places him in good stead to impact humanity in profound ways.

From the standpoint of a philanthropist, Otunba Lana Akintan forayed into the human rights arena out of his burning desire to see his people liberated from wanton abuse and oppression. He soon turned into a one-man army for human rights and won the admiration of people from far and near for promoting human rights. His focus was on early child education, affordable and decent shelter to the less privileged, and supporting law enforcement agencies in the defence of the rights of the ordinary people. He is reputed for building schools, paying school fees of indigent students, and donating vehicles to the Police to enhance their operational efficiency.

To put his vision of human rights and life of dignity for all on a sound footing, Baba Lana opted to inaugurate the Otunba Lana Akintan Human Rights Foundation as the high point of his 95th Birthday celebrations on August 18, 2024.Contact Us
