Board of Trustees (BoT)

The Board of Trustees (BOT) is the governing body responsible for strategic direction and operations of the Otunba Lana Akintan Human Rights Foundation (OLAKHURF). The BOT comprises accomplished individuals who are passionate about the Foundation’s vision, mission and strategic Plan, including moblisation of resources and their judicious application to ensure the Foundation's success.

Chairman - Mr Babayemi Ogundipe

Ogundipe Gabriel Babayemi, born some seventy years plus at Agbon Ojodu in Yewa North Local Government of Ogun State, Nigeria, into the family of Mr George and Mrs Julianah Ogundipe.
He attended Anglican Primary School, Agbontedo (1958-1963). Anglican Secondary Modern School, Ilaro (1964-1966). St. Andrews College, Oyo (1973-1973). Ogun State College of Education, Ijebu Ode (1979-1982), University of Ilorin, Ilorin (1988-1992).
Mr Ogundipe was a teacher throughout his 35years active service. By the year 2000, he became a secondary school principal (the peak of his teaching carrier).
He retired as a principal from the Ogun State Teaching Service on July 31st 2011.
Presently, Mr Babayemi Ogundipe is the proprietor of Glorious City Academy, Oja Odan.

Vice Chairman - Mr Adegbenga Fabuyi

Adegbenga Aremu Fabuyi is a communication and management professional with over 28 years of experience spanning public service, media, and corporate communications. He holds an HND in Mass Communication; a B.Sc. in Political Science; and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA)
He cut his teeth with the Ogun State Government in 1997, rising to Senior Information Officer and serving in key roles such as Editor of the State Newspaper (Ogun Update); Secretary of the State Information Management Committee; and Head of Commucation for two multi-lateral projects.
In 2010, he joined the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC), where he currently serves as Assistant Director and Head of Media Relations.
He has contributed significantly to the NDIC’s corporate reputation through his leadership in strategic communication initiatives and as Secretary to several committees, including the NDIC Rebranding, Public Awareness, and Anniversary Planning Committees.
Mr. Fabuyi has attended high-impact executive programmes locally and abroad in leadership, communication, and brand management at institutions such as the Lagos Business School, ISOC London, GTC London, and IADI Conferences.
A committed community leader, he is an active member of many socio-cultural and professional groups including Ketu Advance Forum (KAF); Yewa North Network; Ketu Professionals; the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ); Nigeria Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) and one time Secretary of the NDIC Staff Cooperative Society. He is happily married and blessed with lovely children.

Secretary General - Barr Timothy Olaniyi

Timothy Olamide Olaniyi, Esq., is a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria. He is a seasoned young but active Nigerian legal practitioner. Timothy Olamide Olaniyi is currently an associate in the Litigation Practice Group of Platinum and Taylor Hill LP, Ikoyi, Lagos. He began his law career at the firm as an NYSC associate.
During this short period of his law career with Platinum and Taylor Hill LP, he has represented so many clients on behalf of the firm at various Superior Courts of Record in Nigeria.
He graduated from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Kaduna State, in 2021 with a second-clas
He has written and published so many law articles on popular Nigerian law blogs as well as on some of his social media handles. He is also a Capital Market law and Practice and Sports Law enthusiast. He looks forward to becoming an expert
s upper. He then proceeded to the Nigerian Law School the same year for his Barrister at Law program and was called to the Nigerian Bar in December 2022.
He is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association as well as the Nigerian Bar Association Section on Business Law. He is an avid reader and legal researcher, as well as a writer.

Treasurer - Mrs Rita Tiwalola Olatunji

Mrs Rita Tiwalola Olatunji is an Assistant Director with the Federal Medical Centre Abeokuta with over two decades of patient centred services, clinical practice and patient care. Mrs Olatunji is very resourceful within and outside the professional circle. She has been involved actively with different Social, professional and religious organization in different capacities with landmark achievements.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BNSc.) from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH). Registered Nursing (RNM) from the foremost Ogun State School of Nursing and Midwifery, Abeokuta.
She attended the prestigious Comprehensive High School Ayetoro for her school certificate. She has also attended diverse professional and certificate courses. She is a NursePreneur who is passionate about building profitable businesses with a success story.
In her leisure time, when she is not pursuing personal development programmes, she enjoys reading (books, articles, journals etc), travelling for fun enjoying other people’s culture and way of life and loves to cook.
She is married with children.

Financial Secretary

Bello-Zachariah Festus Abiodun, from Apata, town in Ese-Odo LGA of Ondo State. He was born some 65years ago to the family of Pa & Mrs Zachariah Bello.
All his Educational activities were between 1964 & 2003.He worked as a seasoned teacher in the OGSUBEB between 1982 & 2017.
He was appointed and elected into various positions and offices before his retirement in 2017. Presently, he holds the following offices. (1) ACDC Secretary, Ketu South. (2) Treasurer, YNLG CDC. (3) Chairman, PCRC, Ayetoro Area.

Public Affairs Secretary - Mr Simon Fakeye

Simon Adisa Fakeye (born September 14, 1976) is a distinguished Nigerian Simon journalist and media entrepreneur. A native of Ijaka-Isale, Yewa North LGA, Ogun State. Fakeye is the founder of ATOTO Communications and serves as the publisher and Editor-in-Chief of “atotoDaily Magazine”, “RazorTimes Magazine” and “ConciseMail” Newspaper, both the Print and Online, with Social Media presence on YouTube channel, Facebook, Instagram, X, and Snapchat, tagged “atotoDailyTV”.
He began his educational journey at Egbado North Local Government Primary School, Ijoun and later attended Egbado College, Ilaro, where he completed his secondary education in 1994. Mr Fakeye furthered his studies in journalism at the British College of Journalism in Oxfordshire, England.
With a career spanning various facets of media, Fakeye is recognized as a British-trained multimedia journalist, media consultant, and role model advocate. He has undergone extensive professional training, including programs by UNESCO on the safety of journalists and several workshops organized by the Nigerian Press Council on ethical journalism, good governance, and combating violent extremism.
His leadership roles include serving as a caretaker committee member and SEC member of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Ogun State Council, as well as holding a position with the Community Newspaper Publishers Association of Nigeria (CONPAN).
Fakeye is also an accomplished author, known for his books “The Power Brokers in Ogun West” (2017) and “Why It Pays to Be A Role Model” (2019).
His contributions to journalism and media have established him as a respected figure in Nigerian media.

Legal Adviser - Barr Semiu Banmeke

Chief Semiu Ibikunle Banmeke was born on the 23rd day September, 1968 to the Late Chief Ganiyu Afolabi Banmeke and Madam Adijat Abeke Banmeke of Asaagun Compound, Agidio Quarters, Igbogila, Yewa North, Ogun State.
Chief Banmeke attended Baptist Day Primary School, Oke Oyinbo Igbogila, Yewa North, for his elementary Edudcation and the defunct Iju Ejide High School Igbogila and Anglican Grammar School Oke – Nla Ifo for his Secondary School Education.
Chief Semiu Ibikunle Banmeke attended the Prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University Ile – Ife Osun State for his Bachelor of Law (LLB) and proceeded to the Nigeria Law School (Yenegoa campus) as one of the Pioneer Student of the campus.
Chief Banmeke was called to the Nigeria Bar in the year 2012. He started his law practice career with then Bayo Omoniyi & Co 86, Leslie Road, Ilaro, he was at the law office for years before the then head of the Chamber Hon. Justice Bayo Omoniyi was elevated to the Ogun State Bench as one of the High Court Judge in the Ogun State Judiciary.
Chief Semiu Kunle Banmeke is currently the head of the chamber “Lex Integritas LLP, of 86, Leslie Road, Ilaro.
Chief Banmeke is a Community leader and a farmer.

The Secretariat

The Secretariat is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day running of the Foundation under the effective supervision of the Manager. The Secretariat comprises the Administrative Section, the Finance Section and Project Implementation Section.
